Omni Expo 2021 Convention Summary

Omni Expo: August 6-8, 2021

With only two weeks between events, I didn't have much time to set up for Omni Expo. Fortunately, the hard work was done before MetroCon. There wasn't much to worry about. It does make me wonder how people with busier schedules are able to manage everything, given how much goes into setting up for events.

Omni Expo is a much smaller convention, and this weekend was comparitively quiet. It was a nice change of pace after the constant bustle of my larger event, and I was still able to meet new people. I had some help running my table, but their assistance ended up not being needed too often. A smaller crowd meant less to manage, so we were both able to walk around.

My table neighbor this time, as well, was surrounded by vibrant colors. There was no shortage of sparkles or cuteness at her table. I wrapped up the weekend by bringing one of her keychains home with me to liven up some of the dark spaces in my room. My collection of pins and keychains will probably outgrow my current display pretty soon.

This weekend was a marked success, especially considerning the smaller scale of the event. My NecroCat remained one of my most popular items, tied with Willow's Tale this time. I guess it's hard to resist the cat's sparkling charm.

During the downtime, I worked out a new part of my table display. There's one more convention this year, and I want to have a more stable book stand. The design of my current shelf is nice, but it can be better. There's a lot to do but I'm looking forward to it. It's nice to see everything come together.
